| Five stars for the Volvo V70 DRIVe in German ADAC EcoTest |

German motorists' organisation ADAC, which has more than 15 million members, gives the Volvo V70 1.6D DRIVe five stars in its annual eco-test.
With its diesel engine, the Volvo V70 DRIVe is the first car model ever to receive five stars despite being powered by a conventional fuel. In the various tests, the Volvo V70 showed the lowest carbon dioxide emissions of all the cars in its class. Among the more than thousand car models that the ADAC technological experts have tested, only three other models have shown results as good as that of the V70 DRIVe - two of them are hybrids and one runs on gas. The tests are conducted under realistic conditions and the car models involved are assessed in accordance with several parameters. In addition to carbon dioxide and particle emissions, climate unit efficiency is also tested, among much else.
